If you’ve been storing away decade old tax returns, brokerage and bank statements, mortgage records, old receipts, bills and just about any other record or piece of paper that you no longer need, now is the time to plan to safely destroy them in the mobile shredding truck coming to the Norwell Community Shred-it Day.
On Saturday, May 9th, 2020 between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm, the Shred-it mobile truck will be stationed at the Norwell Town hall parking lot to properly destroy all your old personal and confidential documents you no longer need. In today’s high risk world of identity theft, this is the best way to protect yourself and your future. As a Realtor in Norwell for over two decades, I routinely visit homes every day and most property owners have boxes and boxes of old files and confidential documents that are no longer needed, which should be removed before the home is sold, however, it has to be done safely and securely. If you’re thinking of selling your home in the near future or even the next few years, now is the time to clean out and de-clutter.
The Shred-it mobile shredding truck provides security compliant destruction of all your confidential documents and ensures your personal identity is protected. The Norwell Community Shred Day is a free event to all Norwell residents and you are encouraged to bring as little or as much shredding material you have. We are accepting voluntary donations to the Norwell Little League, a 501-C3 charitable organization. We suggest a donation between $10 and $25 or whatever you can afford. If you are a small Norwell business owner and resident and have an excessive amount of files to shred, we’re suggesting a minimum $50-$100 donation to the Norwell Little League. Remember, it’s tax deductible!
The Norwell Community Shred Day is being sponsored by local Norwell Realtor George Jamieson of William Raveis Real Estate, Scott Fitzgerald, Esq. of Fitzgerald Law Offices and Charlene Reese of Raveis mortgage. For specific questions, please call George Jamieson at 617-877-4839 or email George.firstname.lastname@example.org. The event will be held rain or shine on May 9, 2020 from 9 am to 12 pm. And as always, all Mom’s and moms to be, get a potted Mother’s day flower to take home. We’ll even give the gents a flower to take home to the Mrs as a backup plan just in case…
